Annie supports and implements the Dean’s initiatives and acts as liaison between the Dean’s Office and other areas of the School. Projects include expanding the School’s post-MFA fellowship opportunities, strengthening professional development resources for students, and deepening the School’s relationship with the University and the greater local New Haven community. Annie is the point of contact for the School’s grants, fellowships, residencies, prizes, and awards for faculty, students, and alumni.
Bio
Annie Lin (she/her/她) loves to be around artmaking and artmakers. She is the daughter of immigrants from Taiwan and a transplant to New Haven from Morro Bay, California. Annie’s work explores the intersection of creativity and community, including on the boards of the International Festival of Arts & Ideas and the New Haven Symphony Orchestra. Annie facilitates in the community through artist mentorship programs such as the Artist Corps and community leadership programs. She was previously the Director of Arts Programs at Yale-China, where she founded the annual New Haven citywide Lunarfest celebration, built out a Hong Kong artist residency program with the Yale School of Drama, and established a New Haven Free Public Library advocacy program with Dwight Hall for monolingual Chinese residents in the New Haven area. Annie studied music as an undergraduate at Yale and received her master’s degree in education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and is passionate about cultural equity as an instrument of change.
